I decided I wanted to become a nurse when I was only 10 years old. I never imagined myself doing anything else. This many years later, and I’m still working with patients and clients. I have a passion for facial aesthetics and aging gracefully. Aesthetic treatments can give you smoother, healthier skin, and help you reach your goals. But not every treatment is for everyone. I am an honest and forthcoming clinician and comfortable with both recommending or not recommending a treatment based on what you’re hoping to achieve.

## Education and Qualifications
I have over 20 years of experience as a Registered Nurse. I received my Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania, and after I moved out to the Bay Area, I started my career in Neonatal and Pediatric Intensive Care settings. Several years ago, I completed a Master of Nursing in Healthcare Administration from the University of San Francisco and then worked in hospital management. This led to an opportunity to provide new and expecting families with education and access to in-home healthcare professionals. 

In 2021 I pivoted to aesthetic nursing and I’m currently working as a surgical nurse with a facial plastic surgeon in Los Altos. I also assist with assessments for Botox and fillers, and provide non-surgical procedures such as microneedling with PRP, laser hair removal, and IPL laser.

## Preventative Treatments Offer Great Results
I am a huge advocate for preventative skincare and anti-aging treatments. I believe strongly in starting treatment early when a little goes a long way. This can offer better results than starting later in life and trying to fix what could have been prevented.

I myself have been receiving Botox for over 10 years, fillers for at least 5 years, and have had procedures such as IPL, microneedling, and other fractional laser treatments. I’ve always been told that I look younger than my age. I’m only a couple of years away from turning 50, so I am thrilled whenever I’ve been told I have great skin and I look 35.

## A Bit About Me
I grew up in New Jersey and moved to Pittsburgh, PA for my undergraduate degree. Then I moved out to the Bay Area. After several years in San Francisco, I moved down to Menlo Park. I love the suburbs and the weather on the Peninsula, and it is a great place to raise my girls. My husband and I got married in 2008, and we have three girls aged 12, 6, and 5. 

I love the ocean! Whenever I can, I spend time at my condo on the Big Island of Hawaii. I enjoy exercising, spending time with friends, and both educating myself and drinking nice wine. During Covid, I decided I was going to take an online Sommelier course. I passed level 1 and started on level 2 but didn’t get further before pursuing my true passion – aesthetic nursing.
