Botox lasts between three to six months. After a few months, your body metabolizes the Botox, and the targeted muscles will start moving again. Dynamic wrinkles will start to reappear as the Botox gets metabolized.

Fillers last longer than Botox. Depending on the targeted area, dermal fillers can last anywhere from two to five years.
## Botox Vs Fillers: Are There Side Effects?

Botox has a low risk of side effects. After a Botox injection, you may experience bruising, swelling, or irritation at the injection site. Headaches or drooping eyelids are rare side effects. These side effects usually resolve on their own within a day or two.

Dermal fillers have a slightly higher risk of side effects, but serious side effects are still very rare. Possible side effects from fillers can include bruising, itching, redness, or an allergic reaction. Moderate and mild side effects will usually go away within one to two weeks.
